Six Startups Sign Eight Partnership Agreements… Building a Launchpad for Local Companies’ Global Expansion
POSTECH Actively Supports Pohang Startups in Their Leap to the Global Stage
POSTECH’s “G-Techpreneur US Launch 2025” program, designed to support the entry of technology-based startups from the Pohang, Gyeongbuk region into the U.S. market, has concluded successfully with significant achievements on the ground in the United States.
According to POSTECH on the 14th, the program was jointly organized by the University Glocal Campus Project Group and the Pohang Gangso Research and Development Special Zone. Following the recruitment of participating companies in May, the program was operated over approximately six months through a step-by-step intensive support framework.
In Stage 1, an online bootcamp was conducted over ten weeks, providing hands-on training focused on U.S. market entry strategies and the preparation of IR (investment relations) materials.
In Stage 2, six companies selected through the bootcamp were paired one-on-one with mentors. Through this mentoring process, the startups strengthened their capabilities in identifying local customers and improving pitching skills.
In the final Stage 3, participants visited the United States for two weeks starting in mid-October. During this period, they took part in IR pitching competitions and met directly with potential clients and investors to explore opportunities for market entry.
As a result, the six final companies held more than 60 business meetings during their on-site activities and successfully signed a total of eight cooperation agreements, including one MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) and seven NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements)…
