Group Photo from the Shinhan Incubation SDGs Cohort 1 and Eco-Friendly Cohort 1 Demo Day
Shinhan Financial Group (Chairman Cho Yong-byeong) announced on the 14th (Wednesday) that it has successfully concluded this year’s “Shinhan Square Bridge Daegu” program with the “Shinhan Incubation Demo Day,” held on the 13th (Tuesday) on the 6th floor of Shinhan Square Bridge Daegu.
Shinhan Square Bridge Daegu was launched in February on the 6th floor of DASH (Daegu Scale-Up Hub) within Dongdaegu Venture Valley, with the goal of creating new drivers of innovation-driven growth in the Daegu region by nurturing ESG-focused startups. In March, Shinhan signed a memorandum of understanding with Daegu Metropolitan City and has since been promoting the program.
For this cohort, 30 startups were selected and provided with:
- Dedicated coaches,
- KRW 10 million in commercialization support funding per company, and
- Selective support based on team needs, including consulting (digital marketing, IR) and on-site office space (DASH 6th floor).
In addition, to directly address one of the biggest challenges faced by technology startups—B2B sales—the program offered:
- Sales support from technology sales experts,
- Production support for technology demonstration videos, and
- Business meet-ups connecting public institutions, large and mid-sized enterprises, and startups, resulting in a total of 41 collaboration meetings between 7 demand-side companies and 16 startups.
Finally, at the program’s culminating Demo Day, eight top-performing teams were selected and awarded total prize money of KRW 3.3 billion, with up to KRW 700 million per team…
